Organize a Fundraiser project!

This can be a trail ride, an auction, or a raffle, or anything  which will make you money.  There have been many different events across Canada, from barbecues and suppers, to Read-a-thons, to selling items like chocolate bars, and the ever-popular totebags.

Anyone can be a fundraiser! The sale of these and other such totebags has raised several hundred dollars for EFC.

The EFC will give a monogrammed horse cooler to any group which raises more than $750 to benefit the Foundation.  This may be presented to the individual who brings in the most monies, or it can be used to raise even more dollars by auctioning or raffling it.

SPREADING AWARENESS OF THE EQUINE FOUNDATION!   Volunteers Needed!

Display in the Equine Foundation booth at the Main Event, Red Deer, Alberta.
Use every opportunity to tell horse enthusiastseverywhere about the Equine Foundation and
the work that it does. Spreading the word canbe as simple as handing out brochures at your
local horse club and explaining just what the EFC is all about, to putting up a booth.

Do support an Equine Foundation Fundraiser in your area.  Contact your Provincial Director for details.

The Memorial Fund

Donations may be made, in lieu of flowers, to the Equine Foundation in Memory of a relative or friend. The name of the deceased is included in “The Book of Memory” which is maintained by EFC in a book form as well as on this Website. When the donation is received, a card is completed and sent to the Family and a Tax Deductible receipt is sent to the Donor. The Equine Foundation may also be listed in an obituary as the Charity of Choice for memorial donations.

Many persons wish to Honour that Special Horse, Dog or other Pet. A Donation to the Foundation will place the name of that equine friend or other pet such as dogs and cats, in ‘The Book of Memory’.

We will now be including a photograph of any Horse or pet for which a memorial gift is made to the Equine Foundation of Canada.

For those already listed, a photo may be added at no additional cost. Just scan the photo and send to efc@uniserve.com.

New Memorial Donations for Horses and Pets should be sent to: Equine Foundation of Canada, a/c Susan Nelson, 326 Dyke Rd., R.R. 2, FALMOUTH, N.S. B0P 1L0. The photograph may be sent with the gift, or a scan may be sent directly to efc@uniserve.com. Minimum donation to include photo is $25.00.

Special Occasion or 'Just Because' Fund

We all have relatives and friends who have everything. Why not make a donation in their name to EFC? Upon receipt of the donation, a suitable card is sent and you receive a Tax Deductible receipt. And many times we may just want to support the cause and help our horses.

Who's Watching Who?

Who Is Watching Who?

THE EQUINE FOUNDATION OF CANADA IS PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE THAT THE LIMITIED ADDITON PRINT OF "WHO'S WATCHING WHO" IS NOW AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE!

The original water colour was done specially for the Equine Foundation by artist Graham Flatt of Millet Alberta and was raffled off at the CMHA Annual Convention in March of 1999. All proceeds from the raffle and from the sale of the prints go to the Equine Foundation. The 300 prints have been signed and numbered by the artist.

The print is 14 by 19 (picture size) with a white border and name printed on the bottom. The main colours are blues and greys with five Morgan horses looking at the viewer.

The cost is $55.00, a reasonable amount for a print of this quality. Cost is plus $7.00 shipping. Payment must be sent with order. (Mailing is done in a tube and insured)

In the past months, Graham has gone to painting full time and been most successful with the sales of his originals at shows as far away as Colorado. The value of this print can only increase as the artist becomes more popular.
